Carstopper 30 is a PAS 68 crash-tested, shallow-mount fixed or removable bollard that stops a 1.5 tonne vehicle at 30mph, with a 200mm foundation, self-recovering spring, stainless steel shroud, and anti-terrorist protection.
At just 200mm deep, it’s the only bollard of its kind currently on the market. It can be installed as a standalone unit or in continuous runs, making it ideal for protecting high-risk areas such as retail frontages, banks, stadiums, and ATMs from accidental impact.
For the removable version, a built-in spring mechanism allows the bollard to return to its upright position after low-level impacts, reducing the need for replacement. Both versions are designed for simplicity, durability, and ease of maintenance.
Installation is fast and cost-effective thanks to the shallow foundation depth, which avoids the need to disturb underground services. Once in place, the bollard is fitted with a stainless steel shroud as standard, offering a smart, low-maintenance finish. The unit can also be quickly removed for access or servicing where required.
The shroud is supplied in stainless steel as standard, offering a clean, durable finish with no maintenance required. However, it can be fully customised to meet specific design requirements. Clients can choose from a wide range of finishes, patterns, and materials – including Cor-Ten, timber, polyurethane, or powder-coated colour options – allowing the bollard to suit any architectural or branding needs.
Carstopper 30 has been crash tested at Mira and certified in line with BSI PAS 68:2010 and CEN CWA 16221 vehicle impact performance standards.
