The Truckstopper 5-50 is a patented spring-loaded bollard system from Safetyflex, engineered to absorb impact by flexing and redirecting kinetic energy back toward the vehicle—rather than transferring force into the foundations. Designed to follow ground contours, it can navigate corners without requiring special components and can also be removed to allow vehicle access.
With shallow foundations just 400mm deep and 1.2m wide, the Truckstopper 5 was successfully crash tested at MIRA to BSI PAS 68:2010, stopping an 7.5 tonne truck at 50mph (80km/h) at a 90-degree angle. If damaged, the bollard can be removed and replaced without disturbing the foundations.
Built for low maintenance, the steel structure offers a 20-year lifespan and only requires occasional repainting. Bollards can also be supplied with mild or stainless steel shrouds.
Bespoke shrouds are available to meet specific aesthetic requirements.
